Our Master Butcher, Roger, started his butchery career in 1976 becoming a Master Butcher after 7 years training. Roger has been a butcher in Jersey for the last 20 years and has been with Holme Cuts since 2011. Gary has been a butcher since the age of 21, and butchered in Jersey for 25 years. Gary has been a part of the Holme Cuts team since 2012. Asa, our trainee, has been training with Gary and Roger for the last 3 years.
We buy as much local meat as seasonality allows, with local beef available most weeks. All our other quality meats are sourced from Smithfield Market and imported directly to Holme Grown. All meats are cut and prepared freshly in store whether it is beef, lamb, pork or chicken.
We make all our own sausages and there is regularly a variety of 8 different flavours. All our burgers are made from local beef – taste the difference. We prepare faggots in house and are a proud supplier to the trade. Our other specialist meats are game, hare, pigeon, pheasant, partridge, and rabbit.
